Join us to celebrate the official launch of the South Oxfordshire District Council Business and Innovation Strategy Action Plan 2017 – 2020, and our 2018 events programme, at Wallingford’s Old Counting House on Tuesday 9 January between 17:30 and 19:30.
Meet Cllr Rob Simister and the SO Business team over drinks and canapes, to hear how you can benefit from the support provided by SO Business and the council.
Our list of interesting and informative workshops and forums for 2018 include diverse subjects such as corporate social responsibility, AI and robotics, stress management and how to grow internationally.
To launch the action plan we have two guest speakers who will be each focusing on a key action. Ned Wells, CEO of Zanzi Digital will be speaking on the subject of Business Support and Communication, Action Two of the plan, and Nicky Stallwood, Personal Development Curriculum Manager at Lord Williams’s School will present on Action Three, Skills and Employment.
Please RSVP at the Eventbrite link. Places are limited.
The BIS Action Plan outlines four key actions, why action is needed and how the district council will achieve this:
- Superfast broadband – We will help your business work smarter through improved access to superfast broadband.
- Business space – We will aim to ensure that there is sufficient space for your business to grow.
- Skills and employment – We will support businesses struggling to attract and retain staff, addressing key skills gaps.
